1. Bran Castle – the true story of Dracula
Bran Castle is situated near Bran and in the immediate vicinity of Brasov.
The castle it was once the home of Vlad the Impaler, a famous medieval warlord;
however, there is no evidence that he ever lived there.
Because of the relation between Vlad the Impaler and the fictional character – Dracula – , the foreign tourists are more and more drawn into Dracula’s Castle myth.

2. Peles Castle
One of the most significant historical monument of Romania is Peles Castle, situated in Sinaia-Prahova Valley district.
The Peles Castle was built by king Carol I between 1873 and 1883 and it was originally used as the summer residence of the royal family.
It was designed in the neo-Renaissance style by Wilhelm Doderer (a german architect) and later by Johannes Schultz.

3. The Medieval Castle of Sighisoara
It’s one of the most beautiful medieval castle in Romania and one of the best preserved inhabited fortress in Europe.
The town of Sighisoara is the most charming of all the Romanian towns and it’s also known as the place were the notorious Vlad the Impaler was born.

4. The Danube Delta
The Danube river gave birth 10,000 years ago to one of the most beautiful delta in Europe or even in the world.
The Danube Delta represents a true miracle of nature for scientists and tourists as well.

5. The Happy Cemetery in Sapanta
Sapanta is a commune situated in Maramures, with five thousand inhabitants.This place is famous for it “Happy Cemetery”: the people of Sapanta belive that death doesn’t have to be a very sad thing and hope that death is followed by something better . When a inhabitant dies someone who knew him very well writes a few words about the way he died and also about the kinde of person he/she was. That text will be write on his grave.

6. Palace of the Parliament (House of the People)
With a floor area of 350,000 m² ,it’s world’s second largest building after the US Pentagon reminds Romanians of the communist years.
It measures 270 m by 240 m, 86 m high, and 92 m under ground. It has 1,100 rooms and is 12 stories tall, with four additional underground levels currently available and in use, with another four in different stages of completion, reflects the work of the country’s best architects and artisans.

7. The Monasteries of Moldavia
If you visit Romania, the beautiful monasteries of Moldavia must be seen. Many of them are painted with incredible pictures from the XVI century ( oninside and outside walls).
The most monasteries important are: Moldovita, Sucevita, Arbore, Humor and Voronet.

8.The Black Church In Brasov City
The Black Church it’s the representative monument of Brasovand it’s the largest Gothic church between Vienna and Istanbul. It was built between 1385 and 1477.

9. The Black Sea Resorts
The Romanian Black Sea coast is famous for its miles of soft sand beaches. The main resorts are: Mamaia, Eforie-Nord, Neptun, Venus and Mangalia.

10. Sibiu City
Sibiu is a city in southern Transylvania with a rich medieval and Baroque heritage. Atractions: the old town, The Citadel of Sibiu, Huet Square, The Brukenthal Museum, The open air Museum.
